Dr Gordon Belich

Bachelor of Dental Surgery, University of Otago

Gordon is the primary cosmetic dentist at Belich Dental and has advanced training in this highly skilled art. He employs only the finest dental technology and materials to deliver the very best results for his patients.
Gordon has that rare talent of being able to combine technical excellence with an artist’s eye for aesthetic qualities of the face and for its symmetry and balance. He visualises an excellent result for his patient and achieves it.

Gordon is a strong advocate of ongoing education and continuously refines his knowledge base and artistic techniques. Each year he devotes a significant amount of time to continuing education.
While offering the highest standard of care, Gordon provides a relaxed, friendly environment with an emphasis on patient comfort and confidence at all times.

Dr Krystel Fernandes

 Bachelor of Dental Surgery (Honours), University of Otago
Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences (majoring in Neuroscience), University of Auckland

Krystel started her medical career in the field of Neuroscience at Auckland University, graduating with a Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences. Looking for a change in pace, she explored the world of oral health. Impressed by the difference it can make to a person’s quality of life, she pursued and graduated from the University of Otago with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery with Honours. 

Krystel went on to work as an Oral and Maxillofacial House Surgeon for the Auckland District Health Board at Middlemore Hospital, Auckland Hospital, Greenlane Clinical Centre and Buckland Road Clinic. She has volunteered her time with the underprivileged community in Rarotonga and has received four research studentship scholarships. 

Krystel enjoys the variety of general dentistry and always endeavors to achieve the highest quality in her work. She is very caring, gentle and strives to put her patients at ease. She strongly believes in continuing education to keep updated with the latest technology and research and regularly attends courses to this effect. In her spare time, Krystel enjoys reading and spending time with family and friends. 

Dr Hamish Cameron

Bachelor of Dental Surgery, University of Otago
Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon BDS, MDS, MBCHB

Hamish completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery with credit at the University of Otago graduating in 2003. He completed a year as a Dental House Officer in Dunedin before joining NZ Defence Force. Commissioned to Captain, Dr Cameron took the position of Dental Officer for 4 years serving at Devonport, Waiouru and Wheneuapai.
In 2009 he returned to Dunedin to undertake the conjoint Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) and Medicine degree. In 2013 Hamish completed his studies in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Medicine, graduating his MDS with distinction. During this time he also completed his research thesis on “Prophylactic Third Molar Removal in NZDF Personnel” and has a particular interest in third molars and soft tissue lesions.
As an Oral Surgeon Hamish provides exodontia (removal of teeth) services from simple extractions to impacted third molar removal to full clearances. He also performs biopsies and removal of lesions, pre-prosthetic grafting procedures, tori removal, dental implant therapy and apisectomies.  
As well as working at Belich Dental, Hamish practices medicine at Auckland Hospital and in his free time enjoys skiing, running and scuba diving.

Anne, Caitlin, Laura & Brittany

Dental Hygienists

Anne, Caitlin and Amy are our highly skilled hygienists who take great pride in their work. They are front line in ensuring that you enjoy the lasting benefits of your dental restorations and maintain good oral health. Regular appointments will aid in the prevention of gum disease (periodonontitis), gingivitis, tooth decay and embarrassing bad breath. Furthermore, they can work virtual miracles in brightening your smile and giving you a fresh, healthy look.

Whilst Caitlin is away canoeing in the world championships for New Zealand, Amy is helping us out. We wish Caitlin all the best!
